This kit contains two excellent upgrades for your Apertura CarbonStar 200 Imaging Newtonian: a hard 6.87" dew shield and collimation knobs. This gives you passive dew protection to extend the Newtonian design's inherent moisture resistance further, and simplifies dialing in your collimation by removing the need for hex keys or screwdrivers. This kit has been tailor made for the CarbonStar 200 by Apertura, providing a seamless installation experience and look. Included along with the carbon fiber dew shield and upgraded secondary collimation knobs are two hex keys, giving you all the parts you need to install this kit. this kit gives you extended passive dew protection while also extending the
CarbonStar look. Made with carbon fiber tube and red-anodized end caps, this
shield is the perfect pair for your
Apertura CarbonStar 200 Imaging Newtonian! This premium construction also makes the shield rigid yet lightweight,
and a felt-lined ring protects your scope's finish. This shield is
compatible with the stock dust cap to ensure you can keep your optics
protected when they are not in use. The 6.87" extension this shield provides a
larger buffer of air between your optics and the environment,
keeping your views free of moisture for longer.
Upgraded Collimation Knobs
This kit allows you to hone
in your collimation without any special tools! 3 upgraded collimation knobs
replace the stock hex head bolts with thumbscrews, providing quick and easy
access to your secondary mirror collimation and eliminating the risk of
tools falling into your scope. With the included hex wrench and the detailed
guide (found in the Product Attachment tab above) these upgrades can be
installed safely in just a few minutes!
