If your scope has accessories or extension rings mounted to the back, simply expand this case to fit your OTA in its entirety. Top-Tier Construction
Protecting your telescope is vital in upholding your OTA's performance, which is why Apertura chose high quality 600D polyester as the foundation of this carrying case. Two layers of this tightly woven material provide the utmost resistance against water, dust, and scratches. Sandwiched between these two layers is 12mm thick padding to cushion against accidental bumps and dings! Fastening this case is a highly durable YKK smooth-gliding zipper. Built tough and resistant to wear, this zipper keeps your telescope securely enclosed during both travel and storage.
Convenience at the Ready
Traveling with your 6” SCT, RC, or Cassegrain can no doubt prove to be a challenge due to their awkward, bulky builds. Thanks to Apertura, transport just became much easier! Two types of grips are available: a reinforced handle bar for quick loading and unloading, and a shoulder strap for comfortable carrying. Whether you’re looking for grab-and-go convenience or hauling your scope across longer distances, this Apertura Padded Soft 6” Cassegrain Case is well-equipped for either. Furthering convenience, at the end of this case is a zipper to expand its length by 3”. Perfect for those who have accessories installed on the back of their scope, there may be no need for removal of these extras during storage or transport!
Known to Fit
This case is designed to fit 6” Ritchey-Chrétien (RC) telescopes, Schmidt-Cassegrain telescopes (SCT), and Classical Cassegrain telescopes. Optical assemblies such as the Apertura CarbonStar 6RCs, the Celestron C6 SCT, iOptron RC6, and the Apertura 6” Classical Cassigrains are confirmed to fit perfectly within this case. In its native form, this case measures 18” in length and 9” in diameter. When expanded, an additional 3” of length is added for a total of 21” in length and 9” in diameter. It’s important to note this expanded section is not padded, though the multiple layers of fabric provide plenty of protection.
