This Askar 0.8x reducer will bring the 185APO refractors focal ratio down from f/7 to f/5.6. This is a standard reducer that also has field flattening capabilities. Adding this reducer shortens the OTA's focal ratio and allows for a wider field of view and faster exposure times. The body of the reducer is CNC machined and has comes with threaded metal caps for both ends to protect your optics with the reducer is not in use.

Optical Performance
Askar has designed the 0.8x reducer with great optical performance. This reducer comes with a quadruplet lens design and supports a 44mm full-frame image circle. There is a 55mm backfocus from the M48 thread on the body of the reducer. When attached to the 185APO, it reducers the focal ratio to f/5.6, allowing for a wider field of view and faster exposure times.
All You Need for a Smooth Connection
This 0.8x reducer from Askar comes with multiple threads and three different adapters to ensure a smooth and convenient connection. The front thread of the reducer is M84x1 and the rear camera thread is M68x1. The three adapters sizes are as follows: M68x1, M54x0.75, and M48x0.75. In addition to these threads and adapters, there is a built-in M48x0.75 2" filter thread so you can attach your desired filters to the body of the reducer.
How to Connect Your Reducer
In order to connect your Askar 0.8x reducer to the APO refractor, you will need to remove the 1.25" to 2" adapter on the rear of the included focuser by unscrewing and setting it carefully aside. Next, remove the dust cap from the reducer and screw the body of the reducer onto the OTA where the adapter previously attached. Once you ensure that it is securely threaded onto the OTA, you are good to go!
