Discover the Wonders of Narrowband Astrophotography with This 4 nm SII Filter from Astronomik!

This Astronomik SII 4 nm CCD Filter is the tool you need to fight back against the contrast obscuring effects of light pollution and narrow in on the faint detailed of sulfur rich deep sky objects. Featuring a protective 50 mm round housing, Astronomik's signature MFR coatings, and a extremely narrow 4 nm bandwidth, this filter opens the door to narrowband astrophotography, even for those imaging under heavily light-polluted skies.

With a Full-Width-Half-Maximum (FWHM) of 4 nm this 50 mm SII filter will help you capture the spectral glow of ionized sulfur in distant nebulae from both light-polluted and dark observation sites. Thanks to the extremely narrow 4 nm bandwidth, this filter significantly enhances the contrast of objects emitting light at 671.7 nm and 673.0 nm (SII emission lines) while completely cutting through common sources of both artificial light pollution (sodium and mercury vapor lamps) and natural airglow. This filter comes in a protective 50 mm ring cell and works with any adapter or filter wheel compatible with (50 mm x 3 mm) unthreaded filters.

Unlock the Night Sky!

Cut through light pollution and capture the faint details of sulfur rich deep sky objects from just about anywhere! Learn more about this powerful narrowband filter below.

MFR Coatings & Diffraction Limited Design
Thanks to the highly durable and scratch resistant MFR coatings applied by Astronomik, this specialized narrowband filter will provide you with pinpoint stars, free of halos for years to come. Not only is this imaging filter built to last, but it also works with any telescopes or lens that has a focal ratio of f/4.5 or greater, all without diminishing imaging performance. Boasting a guaranteed transmission of more than 90% at both SII lines (671.7 nm and 673.0 nm) and a diffraction-limited design, this versatile filter ensures you won't have to compromise the optical performance of your telescope to capture stunning images of sulfur rich nebulae.
