Celestron CPC

Celestron CPC Telescopes are available in the standard Schmidt Cassegrain optical configuration as well as the Edge HD optical configuration. Both configurations have their advantages. If you are looking for more of a visual telescope experience, with the optional ability to do astrophotography, you should go with the standard SCT design. Celestron pioneered, perfected and equipped with the advanced Catadioptric Telescope design, it’s no surprise that the CPC's SCT optics are the industry’s best!

If you are looking to focus more on astrophotography, you are going to want to go with the Celestron CPC Deluxe that comes equipped with EdgeHD Optics. EdgeHD Optics are exclusive to Celestron telescopes and offer flat-field optical correction which makes it a perfect optical design for astrophotography!

All Celestron CPC Telescopes come with a heavy-duty fork-mounted optical tube that directly connects to the Celestron Heavy Duty Tripod, which is included with each telescope. If your focus is visual astronomy and short exposure astrophotography, the Celestron CPC will be perfect for you right out of the box! For long exposure imaging, you are going to want to get the Celestron HD Pro Wedge which mounts between the top of the tripod and the bottom of the fork mount. Adding the wedge will allow you to track objects in the equatorial format, an imperative function for long exposures during imaging sessions.

When it comes to individual models, the Celestron CPC 800 Deluxe with EdgeHD Optics is the most popular CPC Telescope amongst astrophotographers. For visual astronomers the goto scope of choice is the Celestron CPC 1100 with traditional SCT optics!

No matter how you look at it, Celestron CPC Telescopes are an excellent choice for anyone who is looking for an easy to use, high-quality, professional grade telescope that always performs at a high level!
