This compound digital microscope features a quadruplet rotating turret with the option to mount four of the five included objective lenses (4x, 10x, 20x, 40x, and 60x). A bottom illuminated mechanical stage uses a bright white LED for even illumination of your specimens, and the dual speed focusers effortlessly facilitate course and fine-grain focal adjustments. Instead of a traditional eyepiece, this microscope utilizes a powerful 8MP CMOS digital sensor that delivers live images directly to the 7-inch LCD touchscreen display. This modernized digital microscope is not only eliminates the need to hunch over a traditional eyepiece, but it also provides for a wider magnification range from 120x to 1800x, allowing you to observe structures and details that can be difficult to discern with a traditional microscope. To ensure you have everything you need to begin exploring right away, Celestron included host of helpful accessories, such as a set of (10) prepared specimen slides, a HDMI cable that allows you to connect to a larger external display or projector, a USB-C cable that allows you to connect to a PC, a and 16 GB microSD card that lets you capture photos and videos your observation sessions. Built-In Digital Camera with 8MP Sensor
Thanks to the integrated 8MP CMOS digital camera, this microscope will allow you to capture high-resolution 4K photos and video of your observations. After installing the included 16GB microSD card, you can easily save files directly to microscope and later retrieve them with a PC using the included USB-C cable.
Precision Compound Microscope Design
The Celestron Labs 7" Digital Microscope features lower LED illumination for bright, even lighting beneath the fully mechanical stage. A built-in filter wheel allows you to adjust contrast and clarity to better highlight specimen details. The fully mechanical stage provides precise specimen positioning and includes integrated measuring tools for estimating specimen size and scale during observation. Coarse and fine focus knobs allow rapid focusing and precise fine-tuning at any magnification.

How do I connect this digital microscope to an external monitor or TV?
The Celestron Labs 7" Digital Microscope includes a standard HDMI cable that allows you to easily connect to an external display, such as TV, monitor, or projector. Simply plug the HDMI cable into the HDMI ports on the microscope LCD display and external display, then power the microscope on. Most external display will immediately detect the video signal from the microscope; however, you may need to select the correct display port from the external display in order to display the view from the microscope.
How many batteries are required to power this digital microscope?
The Celestron Labs 7" Digital Microscope does not require batteries to be powered. The included AC adapter will provide adequate power when used in the a lab or classroom. If you want to use this digital microscope in the field, you can do so by installing optional AA batteries, which will provide 30 minutes of short term use in the field. Alternatively, you can use a compatible portable power bank, such as the Apertura All Night Imaging Power Supply - 518Wh Lithium.
Does this digital microscope include an optical eyepiece?
The Celestron Labs 7" Digital Microscope does not include an optical eyepiece, nor can it be used like a traditional optical microscope. Instead, this digital microscope includes a built-in 8MP camera sensor and touchscreen LCD display that allows you to comfortably examine specimens, record 4K videos, and capture photos for later review. It can even be connected to an external display, such as a monitor, TV, or projector, allowing you to easy share live views with a classroom or audience.
How do I record videos with this digital microscope?
You can easily record videos with the Celestron Labs 7" Digital Microscope using the built-in LCD display and onboard capture software. You can record 4K (3840 X 2160), FHD (1920 X 1080), and HD (1280 x 720) videos. You can also capture rich photos up to 8K in resolution (8448 X 4736 - Interpolated).
