This off axis guider from Celestron is the perfect companion for their excellent EdgeHD line of SCTs, as well as a solid option for long back focal length telescopes! Housed in its sturdy frame are two 360° rotators and a high quality helical focuser, which help overcome some of the common issues with OAGs; providing you with the tools you need to find and focus stars into your auto-guider! With a premium feature set like this it is easy to take your experience to the next level and eliminate the mis-alignments, separate dew heaters, extra focusing, and additional bulk of an external guiding solution! Helping you hit the ground running is a number of different adapters and spacers, as well as a number of system diagrams for Celestron's popular EdgeHD SCT telescopes.

Excellent EdgeHD Solution

The Celestron OAG Off Axis Guider is an excellent add-on for longer backfocus scopes such as the incredible EdgeHD series! Adding this autoguiding accessory to your Celestron EdgeHD can seem daunting, but with just a bit of guidance your setup will be honed in no time! Using the included OAG adapters, the spacers or T-ring needed to set your camera at 55 mm, Celestron Large SCT and EdgeHD Adapter V2 for Off-Axis Guider (sold separately) if you're using an EdgeHD 925 or larger, and the charts below, you can set up your imaging train — no calculations required!

Robust Guiding Solution

The Celestron OAG Off Axis Guider features a number of adapters and precise tuning controls to help dial in your autoguiding solution!

Adaptable Out of the Box
This OAG can fit in to a number of different imaging trains out of the box thanks to a healthy number of included adapters. With the Celestron OAG Off Axis Guider you receive an SCT adapter, male M42 adapter, male M48 adapter, female M42 adapter, female M48 adapter, a set of T-thread spacers (6 mm, 11.55 mm, 24.25 mm), and a 11.55 mm M48 spacer. These adapters will have your EdgeHD 800 series scope and a DSLR and T-ring or a dedicated astro camera with 55 mm spacers working from the get-go, with EdgeHD 925 and up covered with this kit and the Celestron Large SCT and EdgeHD Adapter V2 for Off-Axis Guider (sold separately). This adapter set can additionally be used to build imaging trains with many uncorrected imaging trains. For non-EdgeHD telescopes using correctors, such Celestron SCTs with the Celestron f/6.3 Focal Reducer Corrector for SCT Telescopes or corrective elements designed for 55 mm back focus, you may need separate adapters. For more information please see the manual (available in the Product Attachments tab) as well as our article How to Connect a Camera to a Telescope for more information on integrating this into your imaging train of choice!

Fine Calibration Control
Ensuring your guide camera has a focused and clear view of a star without impacting your imaging camera's view into the night sky has been made simple on the Celestron OAG Off Axis Guider! With independent 360° rotation on both the telescope and camera connections, positioning the multi-coated 12.5 mm pick-off prism exactly where you need it is as simple as loosen, twist, and re-tighten! Finding focus is similarly straight-forward, with a helical focuser sporting 8 mm of adjustment, a focus lock/unlock thumbscrew, and a combination 1.25" barrel connection & M42/T-threads guide camera connection.
