For exceptionally sharp, clear, and crisp images from the center all the way to the edge of the field of view, the 18 mm Celestron Ultima Edge Eyepiece is just the tool you need. This 18 mm flat-field eyepiece provides maximum light transmission via fully multi-coated optics and an 8-element lens design

With an abundant 65° field of view, the 18 mm Ultima Edge is an excellent eyepiece for viewing planets and stars, as well as the surface of the Moon. Plus, as a higher magnification eyepiece, you'll be able to get up close to those smaller objects.

Body

Machined from high grade aluminum and boasting a black anodized exterior finish, this eyepiece with 1.25" barrel contains internal threads for accepting standard 1.25" filters and adapters with additional compatibility for 1.25" star diagonals and focusers. You'll also find a uniquely designed and molded rubber grip ring for non-slip handling during observing sessions on the outside of this eyepiece.

Thanks to rubber eyecups and a long 20 mm of eye relief, viewing sessions using this eyepiece are equally comfortable for both those who wear eyeglasses and those who don’t.

Convenient Parfocal Design

Not only does this eyepiece's parfocal design allow you to spend more time observing and less time focusing, it also enables the exchange of Ultima Edge eyepieces, excluding the 24 mm version, without the need for refocusing. Take advantage of your observing time by quickly and easily switching between high and low power views.
