This 30 mm Ultima Edge Eyepiece from Celestron provides ultra-sharp, crisp, and clear images from the center of your field of view all the way to the edge! Maximized light transmission comes via a lens design containing 9 elements and fully multi-coated optics.

Of all the Ultima Edge eyepieces offered by Celestron, this 30 mm flat-field eyepiece provides the lowest magnification power, perfect for deep sky observing, as well as for getting bright, detailed views of the lunar surface. In addition, the 30 mm Ultima Edge has a sizable 70° field of view, great for viewing planets, stars, and the Moon.

Body

Celestron Ultima Edge eyepieces are made from high grade machined aluminum and are anodized black. A uniquely designed exterior rubber grip prevents slippage, even for those wearing gloves! Additionally, this eyepiece is equipped with rubber eyecups and boasts a long eye relief of 22 mm for comfortable viewing whether you wear eyeglasses or not.

The 30 mm Ultima Edge eyepiece sports a 2" mounting barrel for compatibility with 2" star diagonals and focusers, while internal barrel threads accept 1.25" filters and adapters.

Convenient Parfocal Design

All Celestron Ultima Edge eyepieces feature a parfocal design with the exception of the 24 mm version. This allows observers to spend more time appreciating their views and less time focusing. Also, because these eyepieces are parfocal, you get the additional benefit of being able to switch easily between different powered eyepieces without having to refocus.
