Look, we get it. Stating that we’re the “best” can seem a bit like a catch. However, with a combined astronomy experience of over 115 years (117 to be exact), our team of telescope and astrophotography experts, a.k.a. "Gear Experts", knows astronomy and how to service our customers.
We know how to narrow down the products that best fit YOUR needs, rather than push something simply because it’s easy. Once we’ve done that, we ensure you understand WHY we’re recommending the product by teaching you the concepts behind the product and in the process, we demystify all the terminology. Leaving you with confidence knowing you are making the right decision and one that is perfect for you and your goals of viewing the night sky!
Our knowledge is only surpassed by our passion for this wonderful hobby we all love so much. We truly believe our team is a cut above the rest and we look forward working with you!
NON-COMMISSIONED PRODUCT ADVISORS
Our team of product advisors know what it’s like to buy astronomy equipment for the first time. There are so many types of telescopes and accessories that the process can be overwhelming enough without having to worry about pushy salespeople trying to make a big commission.
That’s why our unbiased, non-commissioned product advisors’ only incentive is to recommend a product that they truly believe is the right choice to help you meet your goals, and at a price point that also meets your budget. There’s never any pressure to buy, and you can rest assured that your recommendation is personalized for you rather than motivated by financial gain. We look forward to helping you start your astronomy journey!

AstroZap Flexible Dew Shield for Celestron 127mm S...
Dew can quickly ruin a night of imaging, but there are ways to keep it at bay on all but the wettest of nights. Wrap this flexible dew shield snuggly around the end of your Mak-Cass tube assembly to delay the formation of dew on your telescope's corrector plate. A dew shield also prevents stray light from bouncing off your optics and reducing contrast.

Apertura 15mm Super Wide Angle 1.25" Eyepiece
This 15 mm Super Wide Angle eyepiece will produce 127X magnification when used in the Explore 127 mm Mak - 1X per millimeter! If you also pick up a 2X Barlow, you’d be able to double the magnification of the 15 mm to 254X, for max high power views on nights of good seeing.

Apertura 2x 1.25" Barlow
A 2X Barlow is one of the most popular telescope accessories available because it doubles the magnification of any 1.25” eyepiece you use with it! Grow your magnification choices quickly by adding a good 2X Barlow to your accessory case. This telescope comes with a 25 mm eyepiece, for 76X magnification. Double the power to 152X by adding a Barlow to the mix, and for every eyepiece you buy thereafter, you‘ll have two magnification options instead of one!

Celestron 1.25" Moon Filter 18 % Light Transmissio...
You won't believe how bright the moon is through a telescope! A Moon Filter will dim the light, just like sunglasses do, so you can see more details on the lunar surface. The moon filter threads onto the barrel of all included eyepieces and any other astronomy accessory you buy later that has a 1.25” barrel.

Apertura 40mm Plossl Eyepiece - 1.25"
We are offering this 40 mm Plossl eyepiece to allow your telescope to gather more light for faint deep-sky objects. The 40 mm produces 48X when used with the 127 Mak, but if you also pick up a 2X Barlow lens, it will double the magnification of the 40 mm eyepiece to 96X. The 2X Barlow could then be used with any other 1.25” eyepiece you acquire!

Celestron Sky Maps and Planisphere
This water resistant sky map does double duty! On the front is a northern hemisphere planisphere that rotates so you can figure out what constellations are up for a specific date and time. Inside are seasonal star maps that display where bright stars and celestial objects are located, with info broken down by constellation. Recommended for anyone who wants to know what's up in the sky at any given time, this guide will serve you well for many years to come!

Apertura Astro Vision Red LED Flashlight
A red flashlight keeps your eyes dark-adapted for the best views! Use it to read star charts, look for accessories, or get around in the dark. A must for any amateur astronomer!
