iOptron's Rumak-style 150mm Maksutov-Cassegrain provides enhanced views of the night sky for a fraction of what similar OTAs would cost. The MAK150 is ideal for a serious astronomer who needs apochromatic refractor-type performance at a fair price. In fact, the multicoated and fully-baffled optics provide almost similar results as a 5-inch apochromatic refractor -- at a fraction of the cost.
The MAK150 features a BK-7 optical glass primary mirror, Rumak-type secondary mirror, and Maksutov meniscus corrector lens for optimized clarity and contrast. Each mirror has been aluminized and quartz overcoated to protect your mirrors and show you unparalleled views of the night sky.
The MAK150 from iOptron is the only MAK of its kind that comes with a dual speed focuser for fine-tuning your images. Also included is an attachable dew shield—rare for a MAK—for better performance in cold temperatures.
