Simplify Your Focusing Process with the iOptron iEAF!

Streamlining your focus routine is this iOptron Electronic Automatic Focuser! This addition utilizes motors and software to determine the exact focal point of your optics, and automatically brings your telescope in sharp focus. With changes in temperatures throughout imaging sessions causing a shift in focus, set how often you’d like the focus routine to be performed to maximize the clarity seen within your frames.

The iOptron iEAF has been designed to fit both Crayford and Rack-and-Pinion focusers and is equipped with a zero backlash stepper motor. While only weighing just over a half a pound, this electronic focuser has a max payload of 11lbs and comes complete with whisper-quiet operation. A convenient built-in temperature sensor helps determine the best times to refocus your telescope and comes fully furnished with ASCOM compatibility! Power this iOptron EAF with your computer or power tank through the 5V USB port, and enjoy the manual focus buttons for quick and easy adjustment if needed. This electronic automatic focuser is also fitted with internal memory to retain the focusing position even during power-off.

Effortless Installation on Your Celestron Telescope!

The iOptron iEAF is compatible with a wide range of telescopes, and installation is simple and straightforward. This device works by replacing the course tuning knobs on your telescope’s focuser and rotating the focusing shaft with the internal stepper motor. To attach to your telescope, remove the course adjustment knobs on your telescope. Next, find the appropriate included coupler that fits around the focusing shaft of your telescope. Four flexible couplers are included for adaptation to a variety of telescopes: 4mm, 5mm, 6mm, or 7mm. Unsure if these couplers will work with your telescope? You can easily check by comparing the diameter of your focusing shaft with the diameter of the couplers provided to determine compatibility. After the coupler is installed, affix the mounting plate to the focuser’s base. Finally, join the iOptron iEAF motor axle into the coupler and attach the motor body to the mounting plate. Now you’re ready to focus!

ASCOM Compatible and Manual Control Buttons
After downloading the iEAF driver, control this iOptron Electronic Automatic Focuser through your favorite ASCOM supported software such as NINA, Astro Photography Tool (APT), Sequence Generator Pro, and many more! The USB 2.0 connection to your computer supplies this focuser with enough power throughout your imaging session. If you would like to quickly adjust focus without the need for software, utilize the manual control buttons on the body of the focuser itself!
