Automate Your Focus with the QHY Standard QFocuser!

Adding an electronic focuser to your astrophotography set up greatly enhances your experience through ease of use and convenience. During imaging sessions, shifts in temperature cause the body of your telescope to expand or contract, altering the focal point of your optics. Because of this change in temperature, it’s recommended to refocus your telescope throughout your night of imaging for sharp stars in every frame. If you are still manually focusing your telescope, having to go through the whole focusing process over again can prove to be wearisome, especially in cold weather and long imaging sessions. Eliminating this stress is an electronic focuser; automating your set up and doing the hard work for you! Installation is simple, and software easily finds the precise focal point of your telescope. Set how often you’d like this QHY QFocuser to perform its focusing routine for the sharpest images possible!

Weighing only 0.46lbs (210g) and with a size comparable to a ping pong ball, this compact focuser is small but mighty! It delivers focusing for a max payload of up to 22 pounds (10 kg), offering great versatility of imaging equipment. In most cases, the onboard USB TypeC-5V offers enough power for your focusing needs, though a 12V DC port is included for heavier imaging trains. The installation process is quick and simple, and the provided couplers and tools allow you to affix this to a wide range of popular telescopes. Control this QFocuser with your favorite ASCOM compatible software or Linux platforms for thorough management of this focuser’s capabilities. The included temperature sensor helps you determine the best times to refocus your optics to maximize your image quality.

Easy Installation and Extensive Compatibility

Installing an electronic focuser may seem confusing and complex at first, but no need to fret! The process is simple and straightforward. The QFocuser takes the place of your rough adjustment knob and electronically controls focus through this connection. Simply remove the rough adjustment focusing knob, attach the appropriate coupler that fits around the focusing shaft, then affix the QFocuser to the coupler. The included mounting plate secures everything in place! Four different coupler sizes are provided with this electronic focuser: 5-4mm, 5-5mm, 5-6mm, 5-7mm. One side of the coupler attaches to the focuser itself, while the other side fits around the focusing shaft of your telescope. Unsure if these couplers will fit your telescope? You can easily check by first removing the appropriate focusing knob, taking the diameter of the focusing shaft, then comparing it to the couplers provided to determine compatibility with your telescope. Suitable with a wide range of telescopes from Apertura, SharpStar, Askar, William Optics, Sky-Watcher, and more, this electronic focuser makes the perfect addition to almost any set up!

In-Depth Software Control
