Sharpstar 0.8x Focal Reducer for 94EDPH
Sharpstar has designed this 0.8x focal reducer to work with the Sharpstar 94EDPH astrograph. One end of the reducer comes with an M74x1 thread for connection to the astrograph. The other end of the focal reducer has an M48x0.75 thread that will work with most stock cameras. The back focus of the focal reducer is 55 mm after the camera is attached. The M48 thread is also compatible with standard 2" filters.
The body of the focal reducer comes with a 360-degree rotator, which is convenient when looking to image deep-sky objects.
The Sharpstar focal reducer comes with a four-element air-spaced lens design and supports full-frame imaging with the image circle reaching 50 mm. This effectively controls unwanted vignetting. When paired with the 94EDPH scope, the practical focal ratio becomes f/4.4 and the focal length shortens to 414 mm. Deep sky astrophotographers will be happy they've added this focal reducer to their Sharpstar 94EDPH astrograph system.
