Check Out this SCA310 Cassegrain Reflector from Sharpstar!

If you’re in the market for fast, premium optics for outstanding astrophotography performance, Sharpstar has you covered! This SCA310 Cassegrain Reflector packs a punch, providing flat field optics, a fast f/3.8 focal ratio, and medium-format coverage. Perfect for detail-driven astrophotographers seeking next-level captures of deep space, the Sharpstar SCA310 astrograph is the way to go!

This remarkable telescope houses a 310 mm primary mirror. That’s over 12” of light gathering power, 1.4x more aperture than the Sharpstar SCA260! This sizable aperture gives way to incredible detail resolution on faint, obscure deep sky objects. Within the optical tube, the high-precision primary and secondary mirrors and the 3” triplet coma corrector ensure peak light correction. These optical elements work together to effectively eliminate spherical aberration, coma, and field curvature. The modern carbon fiber construction of the optical tube helps keep the weight down while also providing exceptional durability. With the included dovetail bar, built-in fan system, and robust 3.5” Rack-&-Pinion focuser, Sharpstar has you set up for success!

Enjoy Medium-Format, Flat Field Imaging Right Out of the Box

As the backbone of the Sharpstar SCA310 Cassegrain, the high-quality primary and secondary mirrors provide exceptional optical performance. The primary mirror adopts a parabolic design constructed of material similar to Pyrex glass. This aspheric configuration pairs perfectly with the spherical, silica glass secondary mirror for elimination of spherical aberration. Both mirrors are fully coated with enhanced aluminum for an impressive reflectivity of over 95%. The result? Bright, beautiful images with outstanding detail! Advancing performance, the built-in triplet coma corrector takes this optical precision one step further, eradicating field curvature and comatic aberration for sharp stars across the entire field of view. Even those with medium-format sensors are sure to enjoy striking detail spanning the whole frame. Also, this 3” accessory features one element of ED glass for top-notch contrast and detail definition. The best part? No backfocus calculation is necessary with this Sharpstar SCA310, just connect your camera and you’re ready to go!

Discover the Cosmos With This Feature-Packed Telescope!

The Sharpstar SCA310 is crafted with next-level performance in mind, delivering exceptional images night after night. Take a look below as we delve deeper into this telescope’s astrophotography capabilities, its high precision focuser, and the numerous inclusions that come standard within this package!

An Astrophotography Powerhouse
Thanks to the optical prowess of Sharpstar, the SCA310 offers no shortage of objects for capture! This 310 mm (12”) aperture Cassegrain astrograph soaks in the light for bright, beautiful images. With the 1178 mm focal length, frame up small deep sky objects such as the Pinwheel Galaxy, the Dumbbell Nebula, the Iris Nebula, and plenty more. Fully supporting medium-format sensors, vast scenes of nebulosity are well within reach. The 310 mm aperture and 1178 mm focal length gives way to a speedy f/3.8 focal ratio for quick light collection and prompt completion of imaging projects. The 48 mm threaded interface readily accepts 2” filters and comes standard with M54 and M68 adapters for seamless integration with your imaging train.

Heavy-Duty, Lightweight Construction
Stunning and sleek, the red hardware and carbon fiber tube of the Sharpstar SCA310 blends both style and durability. Carbon fiber is significantly lighter than steel though is just as strong, offering an attractive weight with the same structural stability. Additionally, carbon fiber possesses excellent temperature adaptability for prevention of focus shift caused by thermal expansion and contraction. Consistent imaging performance is at your fingertips, a must have for precision-oriented astroimagers!

Robust Dual-Speed Focuser
Boasting a large 3.5” dual-speed focuser, finding precise focus is quick and easy! This rigid, yet smooth, high-precision Rack-&-Pinion focuser features an upgraded focusing travel of 28 mm for a greater focus range. Additionally, the increased load capacity couples nicely with heavy imagining trains, something advanced imagers are sure to appreciate. Dual-speed in design, first find rough focus with the large dial, then the zero in on the details with the fine 1:10 fine focus knob. A front-mounted 360° rotator found on this focuser assists with perfect framing as well!

Loaded With Inclusions
Helping you get to imaging in no time, Sharpstar includes a host of added accessories within this package! A 405 mm Losmandy-style dovetail plate ensures seamless adaptation to popular equatorial mounts. Its thick, CNC-machined construction provides peak stability and lasting durability. Atop the SCA310, you’ll find a hollow handle for effortless portability and handling. The multi-hole slotted design of this handle enables attachment of various accessories. A total of three cooling fans on the rear of this scope quickly cool the primary mirror to meet the surrounding temperature in no time. This greatly assists with observing efficiency, helping you waste no time while under the stars!
