Stable Wireless Connection
Operating via WiFi, you can say goodbye to your laptop and operate your entire imaging rig from the comfort of your living room with just your smart device! Plan your session, configure your gear, and monitor your incoming subframes. This StellaVita comes standard with an external high-gain dual-band antenna for solid, stable connection. While the 5G WiFi band offers faster download speeds and quicker communication, the 2.4G WiFi band offers an expanded range of connectivity. Both bands deliver stable connection within 10 meters, though it’s important to keep in mind obstructions such as walls and trees can alter these distances and download speeds.
Power & Ports
The ToupTek StellaVita comes equipped with a variety of ports to support your gear. On the body of this control unit you’ll find two USB 3.0 ports and two USB 2.0 ports for fast and reliable data transmission. You’ll also find a 12V 8A DC input to power your StellaVita and four 12V 3A DC outputs for powering your camera, electronic focuser, filter wheel, and more. For DSLR/mirrorless camera users, there is a handy 2.5 mm port for a shutter release cable. Lastly, utilize the RJ45 Gigabit ethernet port to connect this device directly to your home network, and seamlessly add an SD card with its dedicated slot for quick data sharing. Please note: The onboard USB-C port is included solely for firmware recovery in the rare event of corrupted internal software. This port does not provide power nor can it be used for data transfer.
Operation Made Easy with the Reinvented StellaVita App 2.0
ToupTek revitalized their original StellaVita app, now offering a highly intuitive interface for seamless image planning and session management within the 2.0 version. The cleaner syntax is arranged to reflect real imaging workflows for smoother navigation from guiding, image capture, device connection, and more. Also included is a new Star Map for simple framing and target selection with your connected gear. This Star Map includes over 10,000 objects and boasts high-resolution zoom for precise framing. The “Tonight’s Best” tab allows you to quickly navigate to objects optimal for imaging based on the current time and your location. Multi-star guiding, polar alignment, single frame and live video focusing modes, and plenty more advanced features are available within this new and improved StellaVita app!
What’s in the Box?
Within this package you’ll find multiple cables to help get you started. A total of four DC male-to-male cables (two 0.5 m and two 1.0 m) deliver power from the StellaVita to your devices. A DC male-to-female extension cable adds another 1.5 m if extra length is needed. Also within the box is a USB 3.0 Type-B cable for communication with various cameras, filter wheels, or equatorial mounts. The included antenna ensures optimal connection, while the wireless network adapter opens the doors to Wireless Bridge mode (also known as “Station Mode”) to operate your StellaVita via your home WiFi.

The ToupTek StellaVita, on the other hand, is very similar to the ZWO ASIAIR both in gear management and app interface, though can be used with a broad array of devices and brands! How long is the WiFi range of the ToupTek StellaVita?
Two WiFi bands are available with the StellaVita, 5 GHz and 2.4 GHz. The 5 GHz band offers faster data transfer, though with a shorter range, while the 2.4 GHz band offers an expanded range with slower data transfer. While actual ranges will vary based on your specific surroundings and obstacles, you can expect reliable connection within 10 meters with either WiFi band. To potentially increase your operation distance, Wireless Bridge mode allows you to control your StellaVita via your home WiFi. This means anywhere your home WiFi network reaches, you can expect a stable connection to your StellaVita.
How do I enable Wireless Bridge Mode for the StellaVita?
Wireless Bridge mode can be enabled by inserting the included wireless network adapter into one of your StellaVita’s USB ports, and connecting your StellaVita to your home WiFi through the StellaVita app. Within the app navigate to Settings > Misc > Wireless Bridge. Now, connect to your home network with the appropriate credentials, reconnect your phone to your home network, then reopen the StellaVita app. You're now set to operate your StellaVita through your home WiFi!
