The Apertura 2" SCT Twist Lock Carbon Dielectric Mirror Diagonal is a sleek and attractive carbon fiber diagonal that will make a lasting impression! Apertura has designed this diagonal with a twist lock mechanism and set screws to hold your 2" eyepiece firmly in place even with heavy eyepieces.
This diagonal is dependable and user-friendly, making it an excellent choice for both beginner and experienced astronomers. If you are using a 1.25” eyepiece, you are in good hands, this Apertura diagonal comes equipped with a 2” to 1.25” adapter. This adapter is a non-marring brass compression ring, which will keep a firm grip on your eyepiece without damaging it! The nose piece of the diagonal has an SCT thread, so you can easily attach the diagonal to your SCT scope.

About the Optics
This diagonal was crafted with dielectric coatings to improve reflectivity
and durability. The 1/12th wave BK7 mirror has 99% reflectivity across the
visible spectrum, which means brighter, sharper images through your
telescope. Utilizing carbon fiber, you will get a lightweight, durable
experience! The approximate optical path length is 134 mm, providing space
for focusing while maintaining clarity. If you are looking for a diagonal to
use with your 2" or 1.25' eyepieces, then this could be the diagonal for
you!
Flexible by Design
Built to conform to your needs, the included 2” to 1.25” adapter allows you to seamlessly adjoin your 1.25” barreled accessories, eyepieces, and cameras to your SCT. This adapter is equipped with a brass compression ring for a rock-solid, uniform grip around your accessory. Not only does this mounting system provide better alignment with your telescope’s light path, but it will not maim nor scratch your equipment. If you’d like to adapt this Apertura Diagonal to telescopes other than SCTs, you’re in luck! The Apertura M48 Nose Piece (not included) enables use with refractors, Newtonians, and other telescopes that accept 2” accessories.
