Apertura SCT Collimation Knobs

If you are looking for an easy way to do a quick adjustment during observations or more specific collimation for imaging, these SCT collimation knobs from Apertura are the perfect solution! Using these collimation knobs will improve your imaging or observation experience because you will no longer have to worry about bothersome adjustments using the factory-supplied Phillips screws. Apertura has designed the three collimation knob kit from solid steel and can be used to make adjustments easily and without the need for additional tools.

Check out our AstronomyHub article on "How to Install Apertura SCT Collimation Knobs"

The Apertura Collimation Knobs are designed to work with select Celestron SCTs: new production 5", 6", and 8" SE, Evolution, and XLT series Schmidt-Cassegrain Telescopes. Please note that these collimation knobs are not compatible with the Celestron 8" EdgeHD model or older SCT models that use SAE threads. Check out the handy compatibility chart below to see if these knobs will work for your Celestron scope.

In order to use these SCT collimation knobs, you will need to remove the factory-supplied Phillips screws one at a time, then replace it with the Apertura collimation knob (making sure the thread pitch and size are correct), before moving on to the next screw. This will help ensure that after the installation procedure, the collimation is as close as possible.
