Apertura Secondary Mirror Collimation Knobs

Apertura Secondary Mirror Collimation Knobs make collimating your Dobsonian telescope fast, safe, and simple! Included are three Apertura Secondary Mirror Collimation Knobs to replace each of the secondary collimation screws originally included with your Dobsonian.

Newtonian telescopes require careful alignment of their two mirrors for optimal performance. Collimation is finely adjusting the secondary mirror to line up with the focuser and the primary mirror at the bottom of the tube. The three standard screws on the secondary hub support that needed mirror manipulation. These collimation knobs change the angle that the secondary mirror points in the same way the provided screws do. No wrench is required for collimation, so you can easily collimate your Dobsonian without worrying about damaging the telescope.

Installation Overview
Start by removing the central screws located on the secondary hub. This can be done using a standard Phillips screwdriver (not included). Be sure not to remove all three screws at once. After you remove one screw, immediately replace it with an Apertura Collimation knob. Continue to replace the screws one at a time until all three have been changed to the Upgraded Knobs.
