Simple Installation

Upgrading your Askar FRA400C scope with this AF Kit is quick and easy! Take a look below at the four simple steps for installation, using the ZWO EAF as an example:

• Step 1 - Unscrew the coarse adjustment locking screw, and align the coarse adjustment ring with the infinity mark. Install the EAF bracket to the top of the FRA400C tube ring.

• Step 2 - Adjoin your electronic focuser body to the bracket by loosely screwing it into place.

• Step 3 - Place the included coupler (20 tooth MXL synchronous pulley) on the electronic focuser shaft, without screwing it into place for now. At the same time, loop the smallest belt that will comfortably fit over both the pulley and coarse focus ring.

• Step 4 - Finally, lift the electronic focuser body upwards to tighten the synchronous belt, screw the coupler onto the shaft, and tighten the screws holding the EAF body on the bracket. You’re now set for automatic focusing!

Five different 10 mm wide synchronous belts are included with various tooth counts: 196, 190, 185, 181, and 172. This means popular models like the ZWO EAFN and EAF Pro, iOptron iEAF, QHYCCD Q-Focuser, and the Pegasus Astro FocusCube 3 are confirmed to be compatible with your Askar FRA400C.
