With features like these, the ZWO ASI220MM Mini is a must have amongst your astronomy gear!

A High Performance, Professional Camera for Astrophotography

Let's Dig into the Data!

What sets one astrophotography camera apart from another? How is performance measured? Camera and sensor manufacturers provide certain interconnected specifications that give insight into the performance of a camera. These measurements include quantum efficiency, read noise, full well depth, gain, and dynamic range. While the graphs provided by the manufacturer may be confusing or intimidating, don't fret! Our team has put together a breakdown of these complicated topics to help you make sense of them. Take a look at the article here: Understanding ZWO Camera Charts and Graphs, and feel more confident making the right choice for your astrophotography needs!

SC2210 Sensor
Utilizing the 1/1.8” SC2210 sensor, this camera has excellent near infrared sensitivity for peak performance. Its ability to convert collected photons into signal can be seen through the high peak quantum efficiency of 92%, which pairs well with the exceptionally low readout noise of 0.6e for an impressive signal to noise ratio. A total of 2 megapixels are arranged in a 1920 x 1080 array with each pixel measuring 4um x 4um. The full well capacity of 8780e helps prevent pixel saturation, and when paired with the 12bit ADC, the resulting high dynamic range helps resolve an impressive amount of guide stars. The protective window over the sensor is equipped with anti-reflective coatings for heightened light accumulation.

USB 2.0 & ST4 Ports
This ASI220MM Mini is fitted with two ports on its body. The USB-C 2.0 port allows connection to your computer or ASIAIR, and provides both power and data transfer. As the USB-C type port is reversible in nature, the integration of this type of port makes setting up in the dark much easier! An ST4 port can also be found on the back of this camera. Utilize this port to connect your ASI220MM Mini directly to your mount's autoguiding port.

Effortless Adaptation
When it comes to attaching this ASI220MM Mini to your setup, there are a couple of different ways to do so. If using a traditional guide scope, simply insert this camera into the back of your guide scope, sliding it in and out until you reach focus. A 1.25” extender comes standard within this package to further assist with focusing. This ASI220MM Mini works seamlessly with off-axis guiders as well! The camera can be pushed inward or pulled outward to ensure the correct distancing from the prism for optimal performance. Wanting to attach a user supplied CS lens to this highly sensitive camera? ZWO has you covered! A M28.5-CS adapter comes standard within this package for effortless connection of CS lenses.
