Simple & Lasting Alignment
Aligning your finderscope on the first night out with your telescope is a simple one-time set up procedure. All you'll need to do is take your telescope outside and roughly aim it at an easily recognizable object, such as a streetlight, car license plate, or tall tree. Then, look through the telescope using your lowest power eyepiece and center the object you chose in the view. Once the object is centered in your eyepiece, turn on the finderscope and adjust the brightness until you can easily see the dual circle reticle. Without moving the telescope, use the two adjustment knobs to align the dual circle reticle with the same object you centered in the eyepiece. The knob on the left side adjusts the reticle left and right, and the bottom knob adjusts the reticle up and down.
