Learn More About the Orion 2x54 Ultra Wide Angle Binoculars!
With their compact yet compelling design, filter compatibility, and range of adjustability, the Orion 2x54 Ultra Wide Angle Binoculars are perfect for providing a boost to your star gazing experience.
2X54 Design
These binoculars feature large 54 mm
lenses for more light gathering ability than other popular low magnification
binocular options. The low 2X magnification brings you a step closer,
allowing you to reach out and touch very large celestial targets like
constellations with a super-compact form factor. With full multi-coating on
these lenses, the sea of stars above is rendered with great color and
clarity.
2" Filter Adapters Included
Elevate your view of more
ethereal targets with 2" filters (sold separately), with the included 2"
filter adapters. Simply thread the adapters in front of each objective lens,
thread your 2" filter pair of choice into the adapters, and start
star-gazing! The Orion 2x54 Ultra Wide Angle Binoculars make for a perfect
pairing with UHC filters, helping reveal some of the detail of large nebulae
like the North American Nebula!
Please Note: Remove filters prior to stowing binoculars, included rubber caps not designed to be used with filters installed.
Adjustable Focus and Interpupillary Distance
The Orion
2x54 Ultra Wide Angle Binoculars offer individual focus adjustments for each
eye, allowing most all users to dial in their view. This adjustment is
accessed by simply twisting the textured section on the rear lens. Combined
with a interpupillary adjustment range of 60-81 mm, stellar views are
accessible to a wide range of astronomers.
What's in the Box?
For safe storage and easy on-the-go
carry, the Orion 2x54 Ultra Wide Angle Binoculars come with a soft case
equipped with a strap. This stows the binoculars with and without the 2"
adapters installed, and the included cleaning cloth. A neck strap for the
binoculars themselves is also included, allowing you to easily carry these
at-the-ready for when the perfect moment strikes!
Frequently Asked Questions
What types of objects are these good for? Are they good for viewing the Moon?
With a massive 36° true field of view, the Orion 2x54mm Ultra Wide Angle Binoculars are best suited for large targets. Constellations and large, bright nebulae are ideal selections. Due to the big FOV, these are not as well suited for a target like the Moon.
How much brighter will these binoculars make the night sky?
The Orion 2x54mm Ultra Wide Angle Binoculars are designed to provide a 4x brighter view than what is visible with your naked eye.
What types of filters can I use with these binoculars?
The included adapters accommodate most 2” filters on the market today. While the Orion 2x54mm Ultra Wide Angle Binoculars do provide a big boost in brightness, gentler contrast and nebula filters should be used, or a skyglow style filter.
