Stand Taller
In environments with tall grass or low
ground visibility, the 2" tall stock tripod can make keeping your Seestar
S30 clean, dew free, and trip-safe a bit challenging. With a range of 7.2"
to 12.4" in height when set to the primary angle, the Apertura Carbon Tripod
for S30 Smart Telescopes gives you much more ground clearance than the S30's
stock tripod! This helps keep your smart telescope clear of tall grass at
rural dark sites, adds a bit of protection from ground level dew, and helps
lift the S30 up and make it more visible—a big plus for star parties!
Added Adjustability
With height and angle adjustments,
you can create a level and stable platform for your ZWO Seestar S30 in a
wide variety of environments! The legs feature a telescoping design, with
two extendable sections that can be easily locked and unlocked with a twist
of the rubberized collars. These legs have two hard stop angles compared to
the single stock angle, a 30° setting which offers a balance of height
and stability and a wide stance setting for ultimate stability! Simply pull
the legs away from the center until they stop to lock into the first
position; then pull the locking silver pall outwards, push the leg past the
first stop, push the locking pall back in, and continue moving the leg out
to lock it in the second position if desired. Then when you're ready to
break down the tripod, the legs can be simply pushed inwards to bring them
back to the storage angle!
Enhanced Stability
With a limited base and small
non-slip discs, the S30's stock tripod is best suited for smooth and level
surfaces. However, with the Apertura Carbon Tripod for S30 Smart Telescopes
you can find confidence over a wider variety of terrain and situations! In
addition to offering an ultra-wide angle setting for more stability, this
tripod also features large hemispherical rubber feet to give you grip over a
wider range of angles. These more generous pads additionally provide a bit
