This set includes two cases: the Apertura Deluxe Hard Case for housing the OTA and fork arm mount, and the Apertura Universal Tripod case for storing the stainless steel tripod. Thick foam lines the internals of the hard case, holding your telescope and mount securely, while its rigid plastic exterior provides protection against bumps and dings. An included foam insert can be added or removed for easy adaptability of either the 8” or 6” NexStar SE. Ultimate Protection with the Deluxe Hard Case
Cushioning your telescope, the thick internal foam delivers excellent shock absorption during transportation. Also, the custom design snugly holds your telescope in place, ensuring everything stays put while on the move. Protection is further enhanced by the hard plastic outer shell of this Apertura case. Not only does this shell safeguard from bumps and impacts, but it also offers protection from dust, bugs, and scratches. While this case is not fully waterproof, this plastic shell provides a protective barrier against light rain or snow. The quad-latch design offers four points of closure. This way, in the case that one of the latches accidentally pops open, the three other latches keep the case sealed and your gear secured!

Fitted with four heavy-duty handles, this Apertura Deluxe Carrying Case can be easily hauled from location to location. Effortlessly grab it from atop a shelf or carry it out to your car with ease. Additionally, it comes standard with two wheels at its base, making travel even more convenient! These wheels are thick and robust, offering exceptional durability. One of these four handles extends to a comfortable height for use of these wheels, and can then be collapsed back into the case when not in use. Made for the NexStar 8SE or 6SE
Crafted with custom foam inserts, this Apertura Deluxe Case is designed to fit either the NexStar 8SE or 6SE telescope systems. Upon opening the case, you’ll find a cut-out for the 6SE. Both the mount and OTA will fit snugly within. If you’d like to adapt this case for the 8SE, simply remove the foam insert that partially surrounds the perimeter of the cutout for the OTA, as demonstrated in this photo. With this insert removed, the 8SE OTA and fork arm mount both nestle securely inside this case! Apertura has also included several additional cuts in the foam to accept various accessories. When not in use, these accessory receptacles can be plugged with foam.
Universal Tripod Case
With the Apertura Universal Tripod Case, hauling your tripod is easier than ever before! Simply unzip the top of this case and slide your tripod in feet first. Thanks to the robust industrial zippers, rest assured knowing your tripod is safe and secure. This case is designed with a shoulder strap and a sturdy handle for convenient transport, both featuring thoughtful placement for easy balancing of your tripod’s weight. If you need extra length, you can unzip the top or bottom extension to reveal several extra inches of storage space. This brings the total length to 38" and 9" wide when fully extended. Though not waterproof, the tightly woven Cordura-like fabric offers resistance to both water and fine dust.
