A dew shield also prevents stray light from bouncing off your optics and reducing contrast.

This telescope comes with a 25 mm eyepiece, for 81X magnification. Double the power to 162X by adding a Barlow to the mix, and for every eyepiece you buy thereafter, you ‘ll have two magnification options instead of one!

The Celestron f/6.3 Focal Reducer & Corrector threads onto the rear cell of this 8” SCT to effectively reduce the focal ratio from f/10 to f/6.3, producing a wider field of view for astrophotography and reducing exposure times by a factor of 3.

The Celestron 8” SCT OTA comes with a 25 mm eyepiece that yields 81X magnification. If you add this 15 mm eyepiece to your collection, it will magnify by 135X. If you also pick up a 2X Barlow, you’d be able to double the magnification of both eyepieces (162X & 270X) plus any other eyepieces you get in the future.

The Celestron 8” SCT OTA comes with a 25 mm eyepiece that yields 81X magnification. If you add this 40 mm eyepiece to your collection, it will magnify by 50X for a lower power, wider field of view. If you also pick up a 2X Barlow, you’d be able to double the magnification of both eyepieces (162X & 100X) plus any other eyepieces you get in the future.

This wide angle eyepiece kit will give you four more magnification options when observing with your 8” SCT (64X, 102, 135, & 203X), for a total of 5 with the 25 mm (81X) eyepiece included with this telescope! This photographic T-Adapter securely threads onto the rear cell of this 8” SCT OTA and presents standard M42 T-threads on the other side. With the adapter in place, you can attach, for instance, a T-ring that is dedicated to your DSLR camera model, such as a Canon, Nikon, etc., providing a simple way to image objects through your telescope.
