Explore the Stars with Ease

The Orion FunScope is a great first telescope for beginners and young adults eager to nurture their interest in space and astronomy. Fitted with multiple accessories, get ready to explore the night sky upon your telescope’s arrival! Read on as we take a deeper look at the Orion FunScope below.

Big Views, Little Scope
Providing big, bright views, the FunScope Newtonian reflector features a 3” (76 mm) diameter. This allows you to capture 60% more light than a typical 60 mm beginner's telescope, offering considerably more detail and clearer sights! Furthering performance, the spherical mirror is polished to a T, ensuring the utmost reflectivity for maximum clarity. Be witness to awe-inspiring vistas of our Moon, get lost counting the stars within the Hercules Globular Cluster, and be amazed by the beauty of the Orion Nebula.

A World of Viewing Options Await
Within the box you’ll find two standard 1.25” eyepieces (a 20 mm eyepiece and a 6 mm eyepiece) and a 2x Barlow lens to double your magnification arsenal! These additions provide a broad range of viewing opportunities. With the 20 mm eyepiece equipped, the resulting 15x magnification provides sights of vast deep sky objects like the Orion Nebula and the Andromeda Galaxy. For a closer look, tack on the included Barlow lens and discover the Triangulum Galaxy, the Lagoon Nebula, and more with the rated 30x magnification. Wanting to get even closer? The 6 mm eyepiece offers 50x magnification for observing the entire disk of the Moon, and pairing it with the 2x Barlow fills the whole frame with the lunar surface thanks to the incredible 100x magnification!

Portable & Light Weight
Weighing in at only 4lbs., this miniature system can be taken anywhere! Set it up outside in your backyard, or pack it up for trips to dark skies. With smooth, intuitive motion, star hopping and navigating the cosmos is a breeze, and the included Moon Map serves as a perfect starting guide for exploration. This Orion scope is wonderful for astronomers of any age, offering informative and engaging entertainment for the whole family!

Moon Map 260
Including a free copy of the Orion Moon Map 260, get to know our closest cosmic neighbor with ease! This detailed guide helps you explore the wealth of features marked on the lunar surface. Be witness to the gleaming peaks of the lunar mountains, explore the dark maria carved by ancient lava, and learn about the plethora of craters formed from eons of cosmic impacts.
