Does this telescope need to be collimated?
Yes, the Sky-Watcher Heritage 130 is a reflector telescope that requires occasional maintenance, such as collimating the primary and secondary mirrors. The included manual provides step-by-step instructions for collimating your telescope. We recommend using a laser collimator, such as the Apertura 1.25" Laser Collimator, or a Cheshire collimation eyepiece, such as the Apertura Cheshire Collimation Eyepiece, as either of these accessories will make it much easier to align the optics on your Newtonian telescopes.
