This addition to Tele Vue's Nagler eyepiece line was designed to be a "natural extension" of their incredible limited release, the Apollo 11 eyepiece. With this series, that eyepiece's stellar full-field sharpness, incredible contrast, and distortion correction are now accessible! With a slightly reduced, but still superbly expansive, apparent field of view of 82° you can become immersed in a pinpoint sharp sea of stars and celestial objects through this eyepiece. Ensuring your journey will be a comfortable one, this eyepiece is designed with a generous 19 mm of eye relief that can accommodate eyeglass users easily; with an eye guard included for non-eyeglass users that will help correctly position your head and block stray light from entering your view. This excellence is housed in a high quality body featuring a 2" barrel for compatibility with a wide variety of diagonals and focusers. Adapt Your Tele Vue Nagler Type 7 Eyepiece!
Adapting the Tele Vue 14 mm Nagler Type 7 Eyepiece to your observing needs is easy with the adjustable eyecup built into this design! To adjust the eyecup position, grasp each of the two textured bands around the main housing of the eyepiece in a separate hand and twist the lower band to the left (counter-clockwise). This will begin to loosen the eyecup, allowing you to adjust its position up/down. Once the eyecup is in your desired position, again grasp one textured band in each hand and turn the lower band to the right (clockwise) until snug.

Spacewalk FOV
The Nagler eyepiece line has been

expansive apparent FOV. The Type 7 series is no exception, with this
eyepiece providing an 82° apparent FOV! This expansive field of view

but one that has full-field sharpness, excellent contrast, and distortion

Magnificent Medium Power Magnification
At 14 mm this
eyepiece gives you an excellent middle ground magnification for your
telescope! Fill your view with the Pleiades from a 1000 mm scope, place the
faint nebulosity of the Dumbbell Nebula in the center of your view with a
1500 mm optic, and begin to reveal the wonder of the Whirlpool Galaxy

Long Eye Relief
The Nagler Type 7 series will be a
welcome sight to eyeglass users! With 19 mm of eye relief, using this
eyepiece is a comfortable proposition even if you need corrective
lenses—especially helpful for those with an astigmatism that may
struggle to get a crisp view without their glasses. An adjustable and
locking eye guard is included to help setting your head at the proper exit
pupil position if you do not wear glasses; additionally helping block stray
light that can degrade image contrast. These features combine to make an
eyepiece that will shine for most any user!
Easy Eyepiece Changes
This eyepiece series is
parafocal across the four models in this line, meaning that changing out
your Nagler Type 7 eyepieces for a new perspective won't require refocusing!
For Nagler Type 7 eyepieces with 1.25" barrels you will need to use the
2" to 1.25" Satin HiHat Adapter
(sold separately). This adapter can additionally be used with
almost all* other Tele Vue 1.25" eyepieces for a parafocal performance
with the Nagler 7 series, giving you a fluid eyepiece swapping experience in Tele Vue's excellent
visual equipment ecosystem!

Compatibility
The Tele Vue 14 mm Nagler Type 7
eyepiece is compatible with a wide number of focusers and diagonals,
featuring a 2" barrel. While its long eye relief makes it a great candidate
for those using corrective lenses to correct an astigmatism, this eyepiece
is compatible with the Tele Vue DIOPTRIX line for a sharp, eyeglasses-free,
astigmatism correction. Additionally, if you're looking for a quick way to
capture the night sky this eyepiece is additionally compatible with the
Tele Vue FoneMate Smartphone to Eyepiece Adapter
which can bring your eyepiece's view to your smartphone camera!
