The ZWO 5 Position Electronic Filter Wheel for 2" Filters (2025) brings ZWO's excellent compatibility and efficient design into its second generation, bringing you the tried and true experience with a sleek new look and update light leak protection. Holding up to five 2" mounted or 50 mm unmounted filters, this wheel gives you near instant access to a full LRGB or SHO filter set for easy monochrome imaging sequencing, or a variety of color camera options to quickly adapt your view to your current target and conditions. With updated light leak protection, your images now have an additional guard against light leak artifacts. Swapping filters and planning sequences with a wide variety of devices is covered, with native support in the ZWO ASIAir ecosystem and ASCOM driver support.
Direct ZWO Pro APS-C and Full-Frame Camera Integration
The ZWO 5 Position Electronic Filter Wheel for 2" Filters (2025) is designed to integrate seamlessly with ZWO's APS-C and Full-Frame cameras, either as a standalone accessory or in conjunction with the ZWO OAG-L. The filter wheel accomplishes this via passthrough holes on both front and back covers that allow cameras and the OAG-L to be screwed directly to these components. For those looking to add a filter wheel without the OAG-L, an M54 external to M48 internal threading adapter and M54 external to M42 internal threading adapter are included to connect the wheel with the 16.5mm spacer included with most ZWO Pro cameras, for an imaging train set at the industry standard 55mm of backfocus. The filter wheel additionally features M54 threading on the rear cover, which provides the flexibility to create imaging trains without a direct camera connection!

Fast, Precise Filter Access
The ZWO 5 Position Electronic Filter Wheel for 2" Filters (2025) gives you
fast access to up to five filters, with a high performance stepper motor
drive system. This quickly and reliably dials your selected filter into
view, and is robust to keep your system in service for years to come. The
five slot carousel accepts common 2" mounted astronomy filters, with a
maximum filter cell clearance of 7 mm, and 50 mm unmounted filters between
1.5 and 3.5 mm thick. This allows you to easily assemble either an LRGB set,
SHO set, or a capable assortment of common astrophotography filters to
capture full palettes or adjust to targets on the fly without needing to
swap equipment in the field!
Stray Light Shield
With this generation of ZWO filter wheel comes added light leak protections
to turn your filter wheel into a stray light stronghold! The redesigned
housing closure now features a slot-style closure and sealed motor
compartment to eliminate the possibility of light slipping through a small
gap in the two sections. To prevent light sneaking by in a bolt-through
configuration, new light blocking pads replace the masks for easier
installation and a light-tight seal!
Convenient Control
With ZWO's renowned compatibility, establishing a line of communication with
this filter wheel is simple! A USB type C port provides a reliable
connection to your computer or control device. With native support in ZWO's
ASIAir ecosystem and ASCOM driver compatibility, quickly dialing in your
filter or planning advanced imaging filter sequences can be done from the
most popular wireless control hardware and software suites in use today!
Included Accessories
Included with the ZWO 5 Position
Electronic Filter Wheel for 2" Filters (2025) is a host of accessories that
will help get your system up and running right out of the box! For imaging
train connections, an M48 to M54 step-up ring, M54M-M42F adapter, and
M54M-M48F adapter are included; with 0.5 M and 2 M USB A to USB C cables
included for power and data. Two sets of screws, 6x M2.5-6, 26x M2-4, and
one 10x filter mask set are included for bolt-through camera connections and
unmounted filter installation. To additionally make assembly easy right out
of the box, a Philips head screwdriver has been included.
