Direct ZWO Pro APS-C and Full-Frame Camera Integration
The ZWO 7 Position Electronic Filter Wheel for 2" Filters (2025) is designed to integrate seamlessly with ZWO's APS-C and Full-Frame cameras, either as a standalone accessory or in conjunction with the ZWO OAG-L. The filter wheel accomplishes this via passthrough holes on both front and back covers that allow cameras and the OAG-L to be screwed directly to these components. For those looking to add a filter wheel without the OAG-L, an M54 external to M48 internal threading adapter is included which connects the front cover with the 16.5mm spacer included with most ZWO Pro cameras for an imaging train set at the industry standard 55mm of backfocus. The filter wheel additionally features M54 threading on the rear cover, which provides the flexibility to create imaging trains without a direct camera connection!

This filter wheel gives you easy access to up to seven astrophotography
filters, giving you plenty of capacity for multiple palettes (such as both
of the popular mono camera LRGB and SHO sets) or an on tap array of unique
filters. It accepts the common 2" mounted thread-in style filters up to 7 mm
tall and 50 mm filters between 1.5 mm - 3.5 mm thick, for wide compatibility
with today's incredible filter options. This filter size is perfect for
pairing with camera sensor sizes up to full-frame, allowing you to bring
this filter swap simplicity to the most popular astro cameras. Each position
is quickly, precisely, and silently slotted into place, thanks to the new
stepper motor and design!
Stray Light Shield
With this generation of ZWO filter wheel comes added light leak protections
to turn your filter wheel into a stray light stronghold! The redesigned
housing closure now features a slot-style closure and sealed motor
compartment to eliminate the possibility of light slipping through a small
gap in the two sections. To prevent light sneaking by in a bolt-through
configuration, new light blocking pads replace the masks for easier
installation and a light-tight seal!
Convenient Control
Connecting the ZWO 7 Position Electronic Filter Wheel for 2" Filters (2025)
with your PC or wireless control solution is simple! Connectivity is
established with the USB-C port. With ASCOM drivers and support integrated
directly into ZWO's own ASIAir system, this filter wheel is compatible with
the vast majority of astrophotography software suites and control devices in
use today. This means most users can initiate filter changes or even plan
out filter sequences in advance through their preferred device and software
combo!
Included Accessories
Included with the ZWO 7 Position
Electronic Filter Wheel for 2" Filters (2025) is a host of accessories that
will help get your system up and running right out of the box! For imaging
train connections, an M48 to M54 step-up ring, M54M-M42F adapter, and
M54M-M48F adapter are included; with 0.5 M and 2 M USB A to USB C cables
included for power and data. Two sets of screws, 6x M2.5-6, 26x M2-4, and
one 10x filter mask set are included for bolt-through camera connections and
unmounted filter installation. To additionally make assembly easy right out
of the box, a Philips head screwdriver has been included.
