The Apertura 10" Truss Tube Imaging Newtonian has a focal length of 1016 mm, fast f/4 primary optics, and weighs just over 34 pounds. It features a heavy-duty dual speed 2" linear-bearing Crayford focuser with a 10:1 focus ratio, as well as three low-vibration cooling fans to help your primary mirror optics reach ambient temperature as quickly as possible. It comes with two Losmandy-style D-Series dovetail bars, a 8x50 mm finderscope, a 2" focuser extension tube, and a battery pack that holds 8-AA and supplies power to the cooling system (batteries not included).

High Performance Optics
The Apertura 10" f/4 Newtonian reflector is a great choice for wide field deep-sky imaging! The fast 10" f/4 Newtonian primary optics are diffraction-limited and the secondary mirror has been optimized for full field photographic illumination. The parabolic primary mirror has an aluminum coating with 96% reflectivity and a top coat of quartz for protection. Both the primary and secondary mirrors have light shields built into the inside of the truss tube assembly to keep ambient light from bouncing off the mirror and reducing contrast. The sturdy 2" Crayford focuser is designed with linear bearings that facilitate smooth focusing without flexure. You can easily attach a digital camera or dedicated astrophotography camera with confidence thanks to the reliable mechanical build of this Truss Tube Imaging Newtonian.
