All-in-One Starter Kit For Your Milky Way Journey!

Give your Milky Way journey a strong start with this premium star tracker starter kit! This kit from Move Shoot Move gives you all the accessories you need to turn your photography camera, wide angle lens, and standard photo tripod, into a dedicated Milky Way astrophoto setup — with the Move Shoot Move Nomad, Calibrated Pointer, Ball Head, and Wedge all included. If creating awe-inspiring pictures of the Milky Way is your goal, then this premium Move Shoot Move Nomad kit is for you!

The Move Shoot Move Nomad has been purpose-built to make creating beautiful images of our Milky Way easy. Simply align the Nomad with your hemisphere's alignment star, adjust your camera to your desired framing, and slide the switch to the Northern or Southern hemisphere setting. That's it! The Nomad will begin sweeping your photography camera across the sky in sync with the stars. This movement with the night sky allows you to take longer pictures without seeing star trails, bringing out the stunning features of the Milky Way like never before! Nebulous dust lanes, faint details, and thousands of stars will begin to pop out of the inky black sky above in your photo editor with fewer pictures — and a whole lot less effort! — than any manual Milky Way imaging method. While this image editing ease can be matched by other star trackers, competing with the Nomad's size and simplicity is another story! Gone are the counterweights, multiple modes, heft, and space requirements of other options — the Nomad needs no counterbalance, has simple switch operation, and weighs a featherweight 0.95 pounds in a package that can fit in the palm of your hand. Just throw this in your photography bag to bring the wonders of the Milky Way down to Earth wherever you go!

Easy Operation!

Just how easy is creating Milky Way photos with the Move Shoot Move Nomad Starter Kit Plus? Very! All you'll need is a mirrorless or DSLR camera, a photography lens, a 3/8" tripod, and the Calibrated Pointer, Ball Head, and Wedge included in this premium kit. Start by leveling your tripod, and install the Move Shoot Move Wedge to it. Attach the Nomad to your tripod, and unthread the large red ring on the star tracker. Remove the platform, attach the Move Shoot Move Ball Head with the camera and lens installed, and then reinstall the platform by simply slotting it back into place and tightening the ring down. Attach the Move Shoot Move Calibrated laser pointer to the Nomad, turn it on, and point the green laser point projected in the sky over the alignment point for your hemisphere; for the Northern hemisphere this is simply Polaris, in the Southern hemisphere this is a point between the Octant and Southern Cross. Slide the switch on the Nomad to the correct hemisphere, and you're ready to begin taking pictures!

Simple Star Tracker, Superb Results!

The Move Shoot Move Nomad Starter Kit Plus is designed to make Milky Way photography simple, with an easy to use interface, photography equipment connection, alignment options, and build. With this powerful portable tool, you can create incredible astrophotos of our galaxy's dust lanes without all the headache or hefty equipment!

Star Tracking Simplicity
Counteracting star trails and capturing longer exposures with the Move Shoot Move Nomad is simple! There's no app, hand controller, or button interface with this star tracker, just a slide switch to turn the Nomad on and put it in step with the sky. This has three positions to allow you to select between the Northern or Southern hemisphere, or to turn the device off. Just line up your Nomad, setup your camera and lens, then slide the switch to your hemisphere to put your pictures in sync with the Milky Way!

Perfect Pairing for Your Photography Equipment
The Move Shoot Move can carry up to 7.7 lb. of equipment, making it perfectly suited for your photography camera and lens! While the Nomad shines brightest with wide angle lenses, this capacity can comfortably carry a mirrorless or DSLR camera with a telephoto lens and a 3/8" ball head like the Move Shoot Move Ball Head (sold separately). Attaching this can be done easily, with the top of the movement platform held in place with a tool-less retaining ring — simply unthread the large red textured ring, lift the platform out of the Nomad, attach your 3/8" photography equipment and lock it in place with the small rotation lock screw, and then replace the platform and tighten the red ring down. This allows you to install your photography equipment even when the Nomad is installed on a tripod! Speaking of, mounting your Nomad to a tripod is also a simple process. The Move Shoot Move Wedge included with this kit features a 3/8" connection that is compatible with most photography tripods on the market today, and once installed will allow you to mount the Nomad simply and securely in its Arca-Swiss style saddle!

Quick and Easy Alignment
More forgiving than telescopes the wide angle lenses that pair perfectly with your Move Shoot Move Nomad can produce star trail free images with a simple alignment, and with the Move Shoot Move Calibrated Pointer with Nomad Adapter included in this Basic Kit lining up your Nomad is quick and easy! This handy accessory attaches to the back of your Nomad and projects a green <5 mW Class 3R laser point on to the night sky, highlighting the point your star tracker will rotate around. By simply lining this point up with the celestial pole for your hemisphere, you'll put your equipment's rotation in step with the night sky and unlock longer exposure times! The Calibrated Pointer is powered by a removable 16340 lithium battery, which can be recharged with the included battery charging accessory.
* Please Note: Your calibrated laser pointer may come with an insulator installed which prevents the laser from turning on in transit. Unscrew the rear cap and remove the thin white insulating disc and reinstall the cap when ready to use. Always exercise caution when using the laser, as directly looking into the beam or its reflection can cause permanent eye damage.

Simple and Precise Adjustments
Move Shoot Move's Wedge accessory makes polar aligning with your photography tripod more precise! With a 3/8" bottom mounting thread, this wedge installs on top of your tripod and adds precise altitude and azimuth adjustment knobs to your setup. With your Move Shoot Move Nomad installed in the wedge's Arca Swiss style saddle, you can use these fine adjustment knobs to fine tune your polar alignment with ease — and then lock it in place with the simple manual lock knobs and lever! This wedge is made of CNC aluminum and sturdy brass components, providing a solid platform for up to 11 lb. of equipment. It additionally features bubble levels on both the base and clamping knob, and comes with an 1/4"-20 tool-less adjustment Arca Swiss style plate.

Friendly Framing Adjustment
Keeping in step with the stars as they sweep across the sky is a large part of creating an incredible Milky Way photo, but framing plays a big part as well! While wide-field lenses can capture a large swath of the sky, to ensure you can make the most of your frame or perfectly place the foreground you need to be able to adjust you need to be able to adjust where your camera is pointed. This is where Move Shoot Move's Ball Head attachment comes into play! Connecting to the Nomad's axis, this ball head gives you a wide range of angle adjustability along with 360° of rotation to help you find your perfect shot. Simply loose the easily adjustable locking knobs, move your camera, and then tighten the knobs back down to lock your camera in place!

Ultra Portable, Solidly Built
At just 3.5" x 2.6" x 2.2" in dimension and 0.95 lb. in weight, the Nomad just about disappears into a backpack or photography bag! Portable doesn't mean poorly built here — with the Nomad solidly made with CNC aluminum parts, premium anodized to a stylish and durable finish. Within this robust housing is a rechargeable lithium battery that is rated to run your Move Shoot Move Nomad for 5 hours, comfortably covering a night of Milky Way imaging! After your imaging session, you can easily refuel the Nomad from a USB power source through the USB-C port; perfect for the mobile device chargers and portable battery banks commonly in use today, and ensuring you'll be able to prepare for the next night of imaging wherever you are!
