Premium Dual Band Performance
The L-Synergy brings you
precision dual band filtering, with thin 7 nm bandpasses at the SII and OIII
emission lines! These slight breaks in the light spectrum isolate those key
wavelengths for
incredible contrast and detail on narrowband targets and features. This precision allows you to hone in on nebulosity even in significant
light pollution. Optolong's extensive imaging filter experience is on full
display with the L-Synergy, with a formula that also fights the dreaded
haloing effect; leaving you with sharp stunning shots of the sky's ethereal
wonders!
Create SHO with Just 2 Filters!
With the L-Synergy
Optolong gives you a shortcut to creating the typical 3 filter SHO or
'Hubble-palete' look that renders nebulae especially in incredible contrast
and detail! This is made possible by the extra color information that OSC
cameras collect and the L-Synergy's clever emission line targeting. As SII
and OIII emissions are far enough apart on the light spectrum, it is
possible separate the RGB channels collected by your color camera to isolate
these wavelengths. With a 2nd dual band filter targeting Ha and OIII (not
included) this clever processing can be repeated to further collect Ha data,
giving you an end result of SII, Ha, and OIII channels with just two
filters!
Easy Integration
Adding this filter to your imaging
train is easy, with a 2" design. This common form factor makes the L-Synergy
compatible with an incredible variety of telescope filter cells, filter
drawers, and filter wheels. Quickly swap between the L-Synergy and your dual
band filter with
ZWO Gen 2 M42 x 0.75 Filter Drawer for 2" Filters, adjust electronically with the
ZWO 5 Position Electronic Filter Wheel for 2" Filters, or use just about any 2" filter system you choose! This size gives you
excellent sensor coverage as well, capable of covering up to full-frame
sensors.
Premium Construction
The Optolong L-Synergy 2" Filter
features an optical glass substrate for superb clarity. It features a
transmittance Tp of 85%, with 7nm bandpasses on the SII and OIII emission
lines. The surface is 60/40 quality, with a flatness λ/4 and a
parallelism of 30s. The filter thickness is 1.85mm. This premium 2" filter
construction provides you with stellar performance, and can be safely stowed
in the included plastic case when not in use!
