The SkyQuest XT8 Classic Dobsonian Telescope from Orion features a large 8-inch (200 mm) diameter parabolic primary mirror which collects 78% more light than a traditional 6-inch reflector telescope. With a long focal length of 1200 mm and focal ratio of f/6, the XT8 performs especially well for planetary and lunar observation, rendering truly striking views of the lunar surface. The XT8 comes with tried-and-true rocker box base that includes multiple quality of life enhancements, such as a spring assisted altitude adjustment system and Teflon padded turntable base. The sturdy 2" Crayford style focuser features precision-machined components that provide a solid foundation for your eyepieces.
