Engineered for Excellence

Complete with large optics, powerful software, and an accurate GoTo mount, this Celestron NexStar 90 SLT is perfect for those wishing to streamline their visual experience. Learn more about this powerful computerized telescope below!

Maksutov-Cassegrain Optical Design
The Maksutov-Cassegrain optical design offers several unique benefits. Instead of a secondary mirror, this telescope features a “secondary spot” of reflective coating applied directly to the inside of the corrector plate. Because of this, the telescope does not require occasional collimation like a Schmidt-Cassegrain. Also, the secondary spot is significantly smaller than a traditional Schmidt-Cassegrain secondary mirror, giving the MAK its signature high-contrast views. With 1250 mm of focal length is ideal for viewing a wide variety of celestial sights, such as stars, planets, nebulae, and more! Marvel at the sight of the mountains and craters on the Moon, view Venus and its many phases, Jupiter and its Galilean Moons, and the beauty of Saturn’s rings.

Robust Single Fork Arm Mount
This computerized telescopes comes with a powerful alt-azimuth single fork arm mount that provides accurate locating and tracking. Alignment is quick and painless thanks to the SkyAlign technology from Celestron. Simply point your telescope at three bright objects (stars, bright planets, or even the Moon) and this software will generate an internal map of the night sky. Once aligned, you’re ready to automatically slew to a whopping 40,000+ objects with the extensive NexStar+ database! Just 8 AA batteries supply enough power to the high precision DC servo motors within this mount for smooth, accurate tracking. If you’d like to utilize a portable power supply, such as the Apertura Portable Telescope Power Supply, you can easily do so with the onboard 12V power port. A preassembled tripod comes standard within this package, and includes adjustable legs for easy leveling.

Various Control Options
The Celestron NexStar 90 SLT offers multiple modes of control! With the included NexStar hand controller, you'll be able to effortlessly align the mount, select objects to view, change slew speeds, and perform a variety of automated operations. On the hand controller itself, you’ll find an RS-232 port. This port allows you to connect your PC for control of your Celestron NexStar 90 SLT with the Celestron CPWI software or other popular astronomy software programs. If you’d like to make things much easier and utilize your smartphone or tablet, you can add the powerful Celestron SkyPortal WiFi Module (sold separately) to do just this! Simply plug it into the auxiliary port and will be able to operate this computerized telescope with the SkyPortal app.

Included Accessories
This powerful telescope includes a red dot finderscope, a star diagonal, and two eyepieces (25 mm & 9 mm). The two eyepieces offer different magnifications for low and high-powered observing. The star diagonal provides a right-side-up view and a more comfortable viewing angle when looking up at the sky, and the red dot finderscope will help you quickly center an object in your eyepiece for easier observing.
