The Celestron AstroMaster 114 EQ reflector telescope is a breeze to set up, and with the motorized mount drive, you'll be able to keep objects in the eyepiece for longer while smoothly tracking the night sky. This telescope bundle also comes with an Apertura 2x 1.25" Barlow and 1.25" Moon Filter. Learn more below!

4.5 Inches of Aperture
With 4.5” of aperture and a focal length of 1000 mm, this f/9 Newtonian reflector allows you to enjoy beautiful views of many objects that decorate our night sky. When using the 10 mm eyepiece, you'll be able to see Jupiter and it's four brightest moons. With the 20 mm eyepiece, larger objects like our Moon or Bode's Galaxy (M81) will be neatly framed in your view. Thanks to the sturdy equatorial mount, whatever you choose to view will be easy to track through the night sky, ensuring your viewing session is enjoyable and engaging. If you want to boost the magnification of your views and catch a glimpse of Saturn's famous Rings, the included Apertura 2x Barlow will double the power of your eyepiece, giving you a total of four magnifications to choose from!

Motorized Ascension Drive
Even when using a smooth EQ mount to track the objects in the night sky, you still have to manually follow objects as they move through your eyepiece field of view. To help you keep your viewing session on track, this Celestron AstroMaster 114 EQ comes with a motorized mount drive. This small but powerful accessory effortlessly attaches to the included EQ mount taking the place of right accension slow motion control knob. Once installed and powered on, the motor will begin to automatically move the mount at just the right speed to track stars across the sky. This AstroMaster Motor Drive telescope uses a standard 9V (not included) battery.

Versatile & Easy to Use
Newtonian equatorial reflector telescopes like the AstroMaster 114 EQ are known for their power and portability, but most Newtonian telescopes are limited in use due to inverted views that make terrestrial landscapes and wildlife appear upside down. With the AstroMaster 114 EQ you'll have the freedom to explore both celestial and terrestrial sights. This is thanks to the unique 20 mm eyepiece that includes a built-in lens corrector that automatically reorients the inverted view!

Reliable Mount & Tripod with Accessory Tray
The "EQ" in AstroMaster 114 EQ stands for "equatorial" which references the classic German equatorial mount the telescope rests on. German equatorial mounts are known for their ease of use and ability to smoothly track objects across the night sky. This EQ mount comes pre-assembled, so you won't need any special tools to set up. Getting ready for your first night under the stars is a breeze! Just attach the included tripod to the base of the mount head, thread the latitude screw to the back of the mount, attach the counterweights, and slot the telescope tube in place using the quick release dovetail system. After the quick set up you'll just need to roughly polar align the mount to your nearest polar axis and latitude, then you'll be smoothly traversing the night sky with the two included slow motion control knobs. The adjustable metal tripod that comes with the AstroMaster 114 EQ has 1.25” diameter legs can be lowered or raised via a simple locking knob located on each leg. It also comes with a multipurpose spreader bar which works to keep the mount stable while also holding your eyepieces and accessories.

Helpful Accessories & Starry Night Planetarium Software
The AstroMaster 114 EQ also comes with two 1.25" eyepieces (20 mm & 10 mm), an 1.25" 2x Barlow from Apertura, a snap in accessory tray, and a StarPointer LED guided finder scope, which allows you to quickly target and center objects in the eyepiece. The two included 1.25” eyepieces are threaded to accept standard 1.25" filters, so you'll be able to use the included Apertura Moon Filter to enhance your views of our closest cosmic companion! The 1.25” rack & pinion focuser makes it easy to dial in the focus so you can enjoy exceptionally sharp views. In addition to these accessories, you'll also get a free download of Celestron's Starry Night Software, a digital planetarium where you can learn about the night sky, celestial objects, and how to plan your next observation session.
