Move Shoot Move Nomad Basic Kit C
A Dual Alignment Milky Way Mount Package!
Point-and-Shoot Simple and polar scope precision are covered with this power star tracker kit from Move Shoot Move! Giving you the ultra portable Milky Way mount from Move Shoot Move along with their excellent Calibrated Pointer and Polar Scope kits, this allows you to zero in on powerful wide angle astrophotos with your photography camera. If creating awe-inspiring pictures of the Milky Way is your goal, then the Move Shoot Move Nomad Basic Kit C is for you!
The Move Shoot Move Nomad has been purpose-built to make creating beautiful images of our Milky Way easy. Simply align the Nomad with your hemisphere's alignment star, adjust your camera to your desired framing, and slide the switch to the Northern or Southern hemisphere setting. That's it! The Nomad will begin sweeping your photography camera across the sky in sync with the stars. This movement with the night sky allows you to take longer pictures without seeing star trails, bringing out the stunning features of the Milky Way like never before! Nebulous dust lanes, faint details, and thousands of stars will begin to pop out of the inky black sky above in your photo editor with fewer pictures — and a whole lot less effort! — than any manual Milky Way imaging method. While this image editing ease can be matched by other star trackers, competing with the Nomad's size and simplicity is another story! Gone are the counterweights, multiple modes, heft, and space requirements of other options — the Nomad needs no counterbalance, has simple switch operation, and weighs a featherweight 0.95 pounds in a package that can fit in the palm of your hand. Just throw this in your photography bag to bring the wonders of the Milky Way down to Earth wherever you go!
Easy Operation!
Just how easy is creating Milky Way photos with the Move Shoot Move Nomad Basic Kit C? Very! All you'll need is a mirrorless or DSLR camera, a photography lens, a 3/8" tripod, the Move Shoot Move Calibrated Pointer and Polar Scope from this kit, and a ball head to position your photography camera; a second ball head or a wedge may also be required, depending on how adjustable you tripod is. Start by leveling your tripod, and install a ball head or wedge if needed. Attach the Nomad to your tripod, and unthread the large red ring on the star tracker. Remove the platform, attach your ball head with the camera and lens installed, and then reinstall the platform by simply slotting it back into place and tightening the ring down. Attach the Move Shoot Move Calibrated laser pointer to the Nomad, turn it on, and point the green laser point projected in the sky over the alignment point for your hemisphere; for the Northern hemisphere this is simply Polaris, in the Southern hemisphere this is a point between the Octant and Southern Cross. Next use an app to determine where to place the alignment point for your hemisphere in the polar scope, and further refine your polar alignment accordingly. Slide the switch on the Nomad to the correct hemisphere, and you're ready to begin taking pictures!

Simple Star Tracker, Superb Results!
The Move Shoot Move Nomad Basic Kit C is designed to make Milky Way photography simple, with an easy to use interface, photography equipment connection, alignment options, and build. With this powerful portable tool, you can create incredible astrophotos of our galaxy's dust lanes without all the headache or hefty equipment!
Star Tracking Simplicity
Counteracting star trails and
capturing longer exposures with the Move Shoot Move Nomad is simple! There's
no app, hand controller, or button interface with this star tracker, just a
slide switch to turn the Nomad on and put it in step with the sky. This has
three positions to allow you to select between the Northern or Southern
hemisphere, or to turn the device off. Just line up your Nomad, setup your
camera and lens, then slide the switch to your hemisphere to put your
pictures in sync with the Milky Way!
Perfect Pairing for Your Photography Equipment
The
Move Shoot Move can carry up to 7.7 lb. of equipment, making it perfectly
suited for your photography camera and lens! While the Nomad shines
brightest with wide angle lenses, this capacity can comfortably carry a
mirrorless or DSLR camera with a telephoto lens and a 3/8" ball head like
the
Move Shoot Move Ball Head. Attaching this can be done easily, with the top of the movement platform
held in place with a tool-less retaining ring — simply unthread the
large red textured ring, lift the platform out of the Nomad, attach your
3/8" photography equipment and lock it in place with the small rotation lock
screw, and then replace the platform and tighten the red ring down. This
allows you to install your photography equipment even when the Nomad is
installed on a tripod! Speaking of, mounting your Nomad to a tripod is also
a simple process. With an Arca-Swiss style foot and 3/8" mount, you'll be
able to connect your Nomad to most standard photography tripods on the
market today. For tripods with limited or no adjustment for aligning this
star tracker, the Nomad also pairs beautifully with the 3/8" tripod
compatible Move Shoot Move Ball Head or
Wedge
(Both Sold Separately)!
Quick and Easy Alignment
More forgiving than
telescopes the wide angle lenses that pair perfectly with your Move Shoot
Move Nomad can produce star trail free images with a simple alignment, and
with the
Move Shoot Move Calibrated Pointer with Nomad Adapter
included in this Basic Kit C lining up your Nomad is quick and easy! This
handy accessory attaches to the back of your Nomad and projects a green <5 mW
Class 3R laser point on to the night sky, highlighting the point your star
tracker will rotate around. By simply lining this point up with the
celestial pole for your hemisphere, you'll put your equipment's rotation in
step with the night sky and unlock longer exposure times! The Calibrated
Pointer is powered by a removable 16340 lithium battery, which can be
recharged with the included battery charging accessory.
* Please Note: Your calibrated laser pointer may come with an insulator
installed which prevents the laser from turning on in transit. Unscrew the
rear cap and remove the thin white insulating disc and reinstall the cap
when ready to use.
Always exercise caution when using the laser, as directly looking into
the beam or its reflection can cause permanent eye damage.
Precise Polar Scope Kit Included
While the calibrated
laser pointer can set you up for some stellar shots, if you're looking to
hone in your polar alignment further then look no further than
Move Shoot Move Polar Scope, Adapter, and Illuminator Kit! With this included kit you can mount the etched reticle polar scope
alongside your calibrated laser pointer, allowing you to first align with
the calibrated laser and then refine with the polar scope. This scope
features guides that can be used in both the Northern and Southern
hemispheres, which can be illuminated with the included florescent
nosepiece! Made of a florescent plastic, this nosepiece can be charged up in
the Sun during the day or with a flashlight at night to give your polar
scope's reticle a soft green glow — no batteries required! If you don't want
to use this illuminator, don't fret as this can be installed or removed with
just one simple plastic thumbscrew.
Ultra Portable, Solidly Built
At just 3.5" x 2.6" x
2.2" in dimension and 0.95 lb. in weight, the Nomad just about disappears
into a backpack or photography bag! Portable doesn't mean poorly built here
— with the Nomad solidly made with CNC aluminum parts, premium
anodized to a stylish and durable finish. Within this robust housing is a
rechargeable lithium battery that is rated to run your Move Shoot Move Nomad
for 5 hours, comfortably covering a night of Milky Way imaging! After your
imaging session, you can easily refuel the Nomad from a USB power source
through the USB-C port; perfect for the mobile device chargers and portable
battery banks commonly in use today, and ensuring you'll be able to prepare
for the next night of imaging wherever you are!
